I’m having parents submit photos of their kids for a children’s book I’m working on. Do I need some kind of release form for those pictures? Because their Minors? Because they are someone else’s photos?
My day care providers have always had me sign a release just so they could take pictures of my kids. I think it would be a good idea, just in case.

Yes, you do! Be sure that you get a release from each parent for this. You could be sued for not having the proper form.

The person who took the photos should have a release for use already. Ask the photographer.

Laurel G’s response is right on. You need a release form signed by the parents of the children you intend to photograph.
Good luck!
