I think you can’t ban Photo shop, not that I like people altering there looks like that, idiotic, but as they said Photo shop is used by a lot of magazines, so trying to ban it would be like trying to stop Restaurants from seasoning there food => impossible.
Why? Nobody would go eat in a restaurant that’s not seasoning there food, because it won’t tasted good.
Same affect with all the magazines. The bad part is not them altering the photos it’s people wanting to look like the altered people.

Hmm I dunno whether photoshop should be banned. Maybe thats a bit extreme.
I know Girlfriend magazine here in Oz (aimed at teenage girls) has small print that tells you when an image has been photoshopped.
I guess the thing that stays with you is the image, though. Images are powerful things. And body image is more of an emotional thing, not necessarily easy to rationalise with “Oh but the reason I don’t look perfect is because that model is photoshopped and I’m not.”
